Activities
| To contribute to the diffusion of accurate knowledge concerning
human health and nutrition, including vitamins, carotenoids, and lipids,
as well as protection from ultraviolet rays. |
■ To provide
up-to-date research results and the most recent information to health and
nutrition professionals, the medical, pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic
industries, the press, etc.
■ To provide accurate
information to consumers by making approaches to the press and obtaining
the cooperation of the mass media.
June 10, 1981: Establishment of the Vitamin Information Center.
The First Vitamin Recognition Survey of consumers was
conducted.
May 1982: The First Scientific Lecture Meeting on Vitamin C was held
in Tokyo and Osaka.
July 1983: "The Vitamin Guidebook" was published.
November 1990: The International Scientific Lecture Meeting on Vitamins
was held
in Tokyo and Osaka in commemoration of the 10th
anniversary.
August 1991: The First Press Seminar was held for reporters.
Thereafter this seminar has been held four times
a year.
1999: The Ninth Scientific Lecture Meeting on Vitamins was held.
The Eleventh Vitamin Recognition Survey was conducted.
January 2001: Vitamin Information Center Website was established.
